Chocolate Bunnies in Jars...Kitchen Mantle

I know...I know...I'm almost done with the Spring and Easter decorating!  I've been on a roll lately, but Easter if quickly approaching, so a bit of a time crunch.
I thought these chocolate bunnies would be cute on the Kitchen Mantle.  Added a few faux carrots for color and whimsy.  Wish those books were old cookbooks, but just don't pay attention to the titles....

Did you see these adorable bunnies in a jar from Martha here?
These were my inspiration, but I knew I wanted to go with 3 different colors of chocolate.
I adore the chocolate lamb, but my local Target didn't have any...guessing I'd have to visit a chocolatier shop.  Maybe next year!

What I did find.... Dove has a White, Milk, and Dark chocolate bunny. Not to mention the fact that Dove makes a pretty tasty chocolate anything!  And these will be consumed in a few days!

I made the nest out of shredded sheet music paper.  Added chocolate whoppers, pastel eggs, and cookies & cream eggs (unwrapped)  Each jar is different.
It's kind of hard to see through the glass, but...hopefully you get the idea.
Bought 3 ball brand jars, and hot glued a burlap strip around the lids.  Tied a little raffia bow around each bunny, and wahhh la!
The fireplace is a see through one, into the living room, so I have this stone mantle in the kitchen.  The copper tray and antique scale are regulars in here.
 And while we're talking bunnies...
I Love my Big Bunny on the island too!  He's just adorable...eyed him from a distance at Warrenton Antique Fair.
I have no idea what he is made of.  It looks like faux bark...but his eyes are like marble.
This cute little bark basket is holding a carrot!
I LOVE SPRING!

Looking forward to sharing my Carrot Cake recipe with you this week, so stay tuned...
XOXOXOX

  2. Looooove the stone. Love the brown, whites, and chocolates!!! Carrot cake is my favorite. More importantly, I love your life verse. I am doing a True Love Waits class with our youth girls and I'm using Psalm 139 to start so I think I'll use Pslm 45:11. Thanks for the inspiration!

My 15 yo took her vow of purity at Christmas and now wears a ring that says "I am my Kings, and my King is mine" ... I LOVE this ring!

  5. Janis, I want your sweet bunny on the counter! You've inspired me to run up to the attic to get my moss bunny and place him on some cabbage leaves. :-) I like your canning jars filled with sweets and filler. But if had them, I'd be sneaking into them to eat the goodies. LOL

  9. You asked about an issue with your word verification on From My Front Porch to Yours- it is off so it isn't a problem to leave a comment. Were you using the new interface then change back to the old one? When people use the new interface, the default is for WV to be enabled. Only when using the old interface can you disable it. You can read my post about it HERE. :-) Sue
