6 Easter decor ideas

Celebrating Easter has always been important for me and my family!
When the kids were little, I wanted to instill in them the true meaning
of Easter, and not get lost in bunnies and eggs.

I thought I'd compile the posts from last year
that I did to celebrate Easter at our house.

First, the tablescape I created using sheet music placemats.
The link shows you how to make these and pictures of my table.
Fortunately, there are so many resources that assist parents in explaining the message of Christ's sacrifice to children of all ages.

The Egg Tree post shows how this simple family activity
truly can prepare the heart for the Easter season.
If you need a quick and easy craft for Sunday School...
or a craft for your family that is meaningful,
the Soap carved cross post explains the method and story.
I am a bunny lover, so in my kitchen I put chocolate bunnies in jars for a
tasty display that did, and will again this year, get eaten!
You can find that post here.
The moss cross and my entryway Spring vignette can be found by clicking here.
This was the first banner I ever made and it is truly a favorite.
I printed on burlap and sewed the pieces onto hymnal pages.
You can find the full tutorial here.

I am enjoying the fruits of my labor from last year
and hope you find something meaningful for your home this
Easter season.

Celebrating with you....
"He is risen!"
"He is risen, indeed!"

  1. Beautiful, Janis. I love the "He is Risen" Banner. I was inspired by your moss cross and made a smaller/thinner version http://posedperfection.blogspot.com/2013/03/moss-covered-cross-dollar-store-creation.html. Your Easter decorations are all so gorgeous and I love that the overall theme is the Risen Savior and not the Easter Bunny. Blessings to you!

  2. It is so difficult to keep the commercialism at bay for so many holidays, but bless your heart for making the attempt.
