Stuffed and {Grilled Bananas}

Did you say grilled bananas???
Oh yeah!
If you follow my blog page on Facebook,
(and if you haven't yet, just scroll down
and click "like" on the FB widget in my sidebar)
I shared a picture of grilled bananas from Pampered Chef.
My daughter raved about them from her beach retreat,
so we had to give it a try at home!

Banana boats, banana s'mores, stuffed bananas...
whatever you want to call them, it doesn't matter.
These stuffed and grilled bananas are wonderful and YUMMY!
So this is what you need:
Chocolate chips
Peanut butter chips
Toffee bits
Rolo candy
Marshmallows
Nuts
Anything else you can think of!
You start by pinching off a 1/4 or 1/2 inch section of banana peel,
and peel it down to the bottom leaving it attached.
Next, take a spoon and scoop out a little of the banana that is under the section of peel you just peeled back. (eat or discard)
Now you are ready to stuff your banana with candy goodies.
Chocolate, peanut butter and banana is a fabulous combo.
Rolo candy (chocolate and caramel) goes great with gooey banana.
Chocolate, nuts and marshmallows are a winner as well.
I think you just can't go wrong here!
Once your 'nanner is sufficiently stuffed,
lay the skinny section of peel across the top.
You can press down on it a little.
Then bring your foil edges up to secure the stuffed banana.

A sharpie marker works well to write your name on the foil,
so you get the right banana!!!
Off to the grill they go! Place them with goodie side up on the top rack of your grill. Put the lid down and let them cook for 10-15 minutes.
The banana peel will turn black, but that's ok!
Let cool a bit. Then, open up your banana surprise.
A spoon works well to scoop out the yummy goodness!
This one is Rolo & Marshmallow...yummylicious!

Happy Grilling!!

(works also in the oven at 400 for 10-15 minutes)
