Fall {Book Pumpkin} Vignette

It has finally gotten a tad cooler here in South Texas!
The morning temps have been around 60 degrees, so I am celebrating!

For me, celebrating means bringing out some more
Fall decor items.
It also means enjoying my morning coffee outside,
and opening a window or two.
I made these three {book pumpkins} and you can
read all about it here.
I found these realistic looking dried hydrangeas at Hobby Lobby.
The colors are perfect for Fall, so I tucked them here and there.
My friend from Pennsylvania sent me some of her REAL dried hydrangeas...so I have big plans for those! Stay tuned.
The book pumpkins are differing sizes, so I played with the heights until I was pleased with the arrangement.
I added the deer antler too.
And yes I know, you see a lot of those around here.
The footed tarnished silver bowl holds an old set of dominoes.
The sepia toned family photos were a fun addition to this photo/card holder.
I'm thinking of adding some other fun items,
like a real fall leaf. What else would you clip?
I love old books...
even when you turn them into pumpkins!

Happy Fall Y'all!

  1. Oh my gosh - LOVE this! Left to right - Top to bottom - LOVE it all! Were the book page pumpkins hard to make? I was asked to share a DIY craft for a ladies harvest party at our church - would they be doable for a group? Great job girlfriend!

    1. I think it's do-able with a group. I tea-stained the edges to make them not so crispy white, cuz I used fairly new paperbacks. Trace the shape and cutting out is probably the most difficult, but not hard. Hot glue the stick and the front/back cover together and add ribbon. Click on the link to my "how-to". Not sure I included pics of all the steps though, ...it's been a year ago. lol! Thanks for your sweet comment and encouragement! Love you!!!

    1. Thanks Shenita! I am liking the hydrangeas and the pictures as well. It's fun to change things up each year, plus sometimes I don't quite remember what I did the year before. ;-)
